This class is like qi gong or vocal yoga – very in-the-moment with games, exercises and songs. It’s good for those who need to learn and practice how to generate healthy sound reliably, and gain tools for effective conversations. It is also great for slowing down affects like the Parkinson’s mask and trouble swallowing. We keep it silly, fun, and heartfelt!
(Thursdays 1:30-2:30pm – Discussion Group, in the process of being rescheduled so please stay tuned)
Be Heard! Discussion Group is for all who have Parkinson’s Disease or are interested in memoir alike. Class begins with conversational warmups led by the teacher, followed by each student telling personal stories on a common theme. Speakers will be coached by KT for volume, speech clarity, and vocal color. You’ll practice real conversational skills, in community. Put your Be Heard! knowledge to work and build your community in conversation!
