East Bay Classes:
Thursdays at the East Bay Jewish Community Center:
1414 Walnut Street, Berkeley CA
Level 1: 12-1pm
Start here if you’re new! Level 1 is like vocal yoga – very in-the-moment with games, exercises and songs. It’s good for those who need to learn and practice how to generate healthy sound reliably, and gain tools for effective conversations. It is also great for slowing down affects like the Parkinson’s mask and trouble swallowing.
Level 2: 1:30-2:30pm
Level 2 incorporates more time for talking about the work and reading. Although we do warm ups and exercises, it is less a less physical class, and requires students have enough voice and hearing to participate in group conversation, and enough clear eyesight to read aloud off a page. Level 2 builds off concepts and ideas developed in Level 1.
Please start in Level 1 if you’re new to the work. It is always okay to go back and forth between levels according to your needs.
